short explainers attached to the same risk language used in the flow.
why can the option go to $0?
A long option only has value at expiration if the stock clears the break-even. Below that, the premium can be lost. Max loss is the debit paid.
why compare to shares?
The same dollars in shares do not expire. The option can win bigger, but only if the move is large enough by the deadline. Figures assume hold to expiration.
are these live prices?
No. Apple uses a frozen illustrative fixture or a captured historical snapshot in replay mode. Other names use canned mock quotes. Check the source and as-of label on each page. No prices refresh live.
is this a recommendation?
No. Confirm the order at your broker. This MVP uses deterministic mock data to show how the product object works. It is not advice.
